Herbal Teas

Herbal Teas are considered to contain an abundance of polyphenol antioxidants as well as other ingredients associated with the protection and treatment of various ailments and maintaining overall health.

Herbal tea is actually not made from tea plants but from infusions of spices, herbs, fruits and flowers.

We are fortunate in the UK in that our supermarkets provide a large selection of herbal teas for us to choose from. When choosing your tea why not pick one that suits your health needs or or course pick those that you simply enjoy the best.

3 suggestions:

  • Peppermint tea – digestion, fluid retention, skin and hair health
  • Echinacea tea – sore throat, helps clear stuffy noses
  • Ginger tea – nausea, period pain, blood sugar control

NB: Some herbal teas can pose risk to individuals with certain health contusion and medication. Always consult your. medical practitioner or nutritionist if you are unsure. The FSA recommends drinking no more than around 4 cups of herbal tea each day during pregnancy
